EU4ClimateResilience Joins Europe Day Celebrations in Tbilisi
Europe Day celebrations returned to Georgia’s capital with a lively public event held on 9 May 2026 at Expo Georgia in Tbilisi. Bringing together families, youth, civil society organizations, and development partners, the event transformed the exhibition space into a vibrant hub of culture, dialogue, and environmental awareness.
As part of the celebrations, EU4ClimateResilience presented a colorful puppet show that quickly became one of the highlights of the day for children and families. The performance, titled “Climate and Friendship: A Puppet Adventure,” used humor, music, and interactive storytelling to introduce young audiences to important environmental themes in a playful and accessible way.
The story followed the adventures of a clever cat, a brave rooster, and a mischievous fox as they navigated environmental challenges affecting their community. Through teamwork and friendship, the characters discovered simple but meaningful ways to protect nature and care for the environment. Throughout the performance, children actively participated by answering questions, singing along, and helping the characters make environmentally friendly choices.
Alongside the puppet show, visitors also explored interactive climate-themed activities, educational materials, and quizzes focused on climate resilience and sustainable lifestyles. By engaging young audiences through creativity and participation, the initiative highlighted the important role of education and community awareness in building a more climate-resilient future.
